Head of Firmware and Software Development
Your main tasks:
- Leading teams of highly skilled and specialized software developers
- Design, creation and maintenance of software for various hardware platforms
- Interaction within R&D and with other departments as well as realization and maintenance of new laser systems
- Further development of firmware development methodology and tool chains to ensure software quality and test coverage in a continuous integration environment
- Planning and monitoring software progress within the projects
- Developing the skills and strengths of your team
You have…
- at least 8 years of professional experience in hardware-related software development
- a university degree in computer science, natural sciences, communications engineering or a related field
- several years of management experience (technical and disciplinary)
- a good knowledge of programming languages, e.g. C++ and/or Python
- a strong attitude towards continuous integration (preferably experience with Jenkins and Docker)
- strong experience in agile software development with practical experience in Scrum and tools such as Jira
- proficiency in the English and German language
