OEM Sales Manager (m/f/d)

The OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Sales Manager will develop and implement financially-sound strategic plans for growing new customer relationships within the photonics market in North American as well as globally. Analytic skills, communication skills, customer service skills, interpersonal skills, teamwork and sales knowledge skills are required in our highly challenging tech-push environment.

Responsibilities:

As OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) Sales Manager, the responsibilities are included but not limited to:

  • Strong focus on strategic business development and sales of the TOPTICA OEM products to commercial / OEM customers in North America.
  • Gain a robust overview of TOPTICA’s ever-growing product lines.
  • Coordinate with the VP of Sales & Marketing to develop and execute both short-term and long-term business plans and strategies designed to ensure ongoing success and growth of OEM revenue and profit
  • Provide team leadership in identifying, analyzing, and qualifying new OEM and commercial business opportunities with TOPTICA Photonics Inc. (TPI) and TOPTICA product applications and product managers.
  • Visit prospective customers in North America to review client needs and demonstrate TOPTICA’s indisputable quality of products and excellent customer service to meet client’s specifications.
  • Support the entire team of TPI in their activity to sell and support the TOPTICA products allowing TPI to attain an appropriate global market share in North America.  
  • Achieve orders to meet the target given in the budget of TPI for the FY 24/25 and subsequent budget plans. 
  • Work closely with the product applications group at TPI North America and TOPTICA Germany to ensure successful company growth.
  • Make evidence-based suggestions driving the product management to modify and develop products for customer-specific and broad market appeal.
  • Provide support during product demonstrations, tradeshow events, and workshops. 
  • Work with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing of TPI to provide any marketing and strategic information gained from research in the North American market
  • Incubate company information into the calculated decisions to grow the North American and global businesses.
  • Visit TOPTICA in Germany for training on OEM products and familiarity with entire product range.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A qualified candidate will have the following:

  • Degree in biophysics, physical chemistry, physics, photonics, optics or similar experience, PhD preferred.
    • Experience in the biophotonics / biophysics space is preferred, specifically in domains which leverage lasers for critical functions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling products to OEM customers within the fields of biology, biophysics, or biophotonics.
  • Strong ability to communicate
  • Excellent computer and project management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Well organized, structured and task focused
  • Confident negotiating skills, and ability to influence
  • Eager to grow within the role, develop and build on current skills
  • Team-oriented
  • Identifying customers problems, consulting and providing a solutions
  • Good time management, independent and self-starting
